About

ISD supports businesses, funders, government agencies, NGOs, communities, interventions, sectors and regions to credibly Plan, Measure, Report and Adapt Sustainability and ESG (ESG - Environmental, Social and Governance) progress and impacts.

A place to share & learn about transforming to more sustainable strategies, behaviour, actions, & impacts

Dr Kate Averill and partners are passionate advocates for more inclusive and sustainable development – for people, communities, the environment and the economy. Kate combines her human and physical geography background with strategic planning & evaluation experience.

Kate and her partners emphasise that both theories of change and action are needed to transform approaches, behaviour, & actions for climate change, inclusion, equity, resilience & well-being.  ISD facilitates and supports people and organisations to credibly plan, measure and report Sustainability and ESG progress and impacts using evidence. ISD promotes  using three phases:

(1) collaborate & plan, (2) action & measure,  (3) report & adapt using collaborative processes &  evidence.

Kate lives in Seddon, a small town in the stunning Awatere Valley, Marlborough. She enjoys gardening and growing vegetables, being outdoors, learning about wine, and contributing to regional activities including Climate Action Marlborough.
